Taylor Hotel

Lafayette Plaza, LLC is in the process of planning the alterations of the existing Taylor Hotel at 119-129 North Loudoun Street into a mixed use structure.  The main floor level, which was the old McCrory’s store, shall be mercantile (Group M).  This level consists of approximately 8,573 sq. ft.   The proposed storefronts shall open onto North Loundoun Street and on the access alley between Indian Alley and the walking mall.  The raised floor level behind McCrory’s adjacent to Indian Alley will be a business use (Group B).  This area is approximately 2,521 sq. ft.  The second, third, and loft area of the Taylor will house a total of five (5) condo units.  The second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth level of the Tower will house ten (10) condo units. The area between the Tower and the Taylor Hotel know as the Colonial Theater will house fifteen (15) condo units.  This will occur on the second, third, and fourth level and it will tie into the floor levels already existing in the Taylor Hotel and continue through to the Tower units.  All condos are currently comprised of two bedroom and two bath units.  The total project will consist of a total of thirty (30) units although a penthouse unit atop the tower is under consideration if agreeable with the city and the planning commission.
